CUMISKEYS creative is a social initiative on a mission to get creativity brewing in our increasingly overworked and stressed-out minds in the simplest yet most personal way possible – by making cards. While at the same time generating smiles and spreading a little happiness with the people we care about.

We are doing this by running low cost accessible workshops and making a simple cardmaking toolkit available at a cafe near you.

WHERE DID IT ALL START?
I started making simple cards for friends and family four years ago because I was so frustrated at the limited selection of cards available to buy and the time and money I spent hunting for them. After purchasing some basic supplies (card, ribbon and a nice pen) I got hooked on making my own and haven't bought a card since.
It was so refreshing to see how happy everyone was to receive my cards (no matter how terrible they were) and how nice it felt to switch off my mind and unleash my inner creativity. After some humming and hawing, I got inspired by the social enterprise scene in London to come up with a way to spread my love of creativity and card-making as a means to de-stress and send smiles to people we care about! And that's it - CUMISKEY’S creative was born.

BUT I'M NOT CREATIVE & DON'T HAVE MATERIALS...
CUMISKEY’S creative is not about making perfectly artistic beautiful cards - simple but personal is key to unlocking those smiles. Spending your time and energy on something small but special for someone else is impossible to quantify! Don't you remember those days when you made a card at school for your mum? Try bottling up those smiles!

Now let’s get one thing straight, paper craft is a craft and there are plenty of people out there that do this thing night and day and have it perfected with embossers and all the equipment you can dream of. But that's NOT what CUMISKEY’S creative is about. We want to you to create meaningful cards with the simplest and most accessible materials possible. We all love a gold pen, some glitter and fancy washi tape, but not everyone has that magic lying around, nor do they want to spend those precious pennies on it either. Hence, CUMISKEY'S creative offers access to the basic supplies in our workshops and cafe toolkit!
